Vision 2030: Sharpening Our Focus on the Decade Ahead

Recent months have been fraught with disruption and uncertainty. But the pandemic is also generating long-term opportunities for communities prepared to embrace them. Join fellow NCEDA members as we survey the economic development landscape of the coming decade.

Please know that your safety is first: NCEDA is partnering with The EI Group to provide daily temperature screenings for those entering the conference. We’ll have amenities such as masks and hand sanitizer to assure all available precautions are taken. NCEDA will work closely with the Holiday Inn staff to ensure a safe, fun and memorable conference experience!

LODGING INFORMATION

NCEDA has a discounted block of rooms at the Holiday Inn Wrightsville Beach for the nights of August 25 and 26 ($149/night standard rooms and $169/night oceanfront rooms). The 2020 Annual Conference will begin the evening of August 25 and adjourn the afternoon of August 27.

A limited number of reservations are also available for the night of August 24 for those who want to extend their stay. There is not currently an overflow block, but we will monitor reservations and reserve one if needed.

GENERAL REGISTRATION OPTIONS

Member Registration: $595 ($495 early bird rate valid through August 7)

Non-Member Registration: $915 ($815 early bird rate valid through August 7)

Emerging Executives Member Registration: $350

Emerging Executives Non-Member Registration: $500

Retiree Registration: $350

Spouse / Guest Registration: $200 (includes breakfasts and evening receptions)

Child Registration (ages 6-20): $100 (includes breakfasts and evening receptions; children over the age of 21 should register at the $200 guest registration fee)

Child Registration (ages 5 and under): Complimentary

All registration fees include entry to event breakfasts, breaks, business sessions and the evening heavy hors d'oeuvres receptions. Children are welcome at the evening functions. We encourage you to bring your entire family!

OPTIONAL REGISTRATION SELECTIONS / ACTIVITIES

Exhibitor: $400 (includes exhibit table in the ballroom foyer area during the general session breaks and the Wednesday evening reception)

Tuesday, August 25 Activities: (all afternoon activities will take place in the same time block, so only choose one)

Golf Outing: $125 (Tuesday late morning/early afternoon tee times at Country Club of Landfall; includes green fees and carts)

Deep Sea Fishing Excursion: $200 (Tuesday late morning/afternoon; includes lunch and beverages)

Kayaking Tour: $60 (Tuesday afternoon)

Stand-Up Paddle Board Lesson or Excursion: $75 (Tuesday afternoon; all equipment provided - lesson or excursion will be group dependent)

Emerging Executives Service Project: No Cost (Tuesday afternoon)

Sunset Cruise: $50 (Tuesday evening; beer/wine included - limited to 16 people!)

Wednesday, August 26 Activities: (all afternoon activities will take place in the same time block, so only choose one)

Wilmington Culinary Tour: $100 (Wednesday afternoon; includes group transportation to Wilmington)

Wilmington Brew Tour: $65 (Wednesday afternoon; includes group transportation to Wilmington - limited to 14 people!)

Kayaking Tour: $60 (Wednesday afternoon)

Cornhole Tournament: $25 (Wednesday afternoon; proceeds benefit Susan G. Komen)

Stand-Up Paddle Board Lesson or Excursion: $75 (Wednesday afternoon; all equipment provided - lesson or excursion will be group dependent)

Registrations submitted by Friday, August 7 are eligible for the early bird registration rate, a $100 savings. NCEDA member and non-member rates increase $100 if submitted after Friday, August 7.

NCEDA CANCELLATION POLICY
Refunds can be made (minus a $25 processing fee), if cancellations are received by Friday, August 7 at 5 pm. For cancellations please call 888.246.2332 or email liz@nceda.org. No refunds will be granted after August 7.
