The conference will also feature a professional development workshop on Wednesday afternoon - Looking at Numbers 101: How to Spot Red Flags in Corporate Financials. Economic development is about marketing and client development, right? But how do we identify financial red flags when working with companies and projects that may, in the end, not be all that viable. This workshop will provide understandable guidance on how practitioners can access and interpret corporate financials in order to avoid ugly surprises later on. Experienced leaders from NC Commerce will share their valuable expertise on what to look for – and look out for – in the numbers.
