FDI Networking Luncheon and Product Development Workshop, presented by SynTerra

Join us Thursday, December 6 in Raleigh for a networking luncheon from Noon-1:30 pm and a professional development workshop from 2-4 pm. You may register for either the luncheon or the workshop, or both.

Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) continues to account for significant economic development opportunities. A growing share of it is now coming from India, the world’s most populous democracy and Asia’s second largest economy. In 2017, FDI from India into the United States amounted to more than $9.8 billion, rising dramatically from just $1.6 billion a decade earlier. Infosys, Aurobindo Pharma, Zensar and HCL Technologies are among the fast-growing Indian companies bringing new jobs, investment and operations to North Carolina. The state is poised to receive more with the recent opening of a North Carolina India office. Rahul Padmanabha, the office’s director of investment, will discuss how North Carolina can continue embracing opportunities in IT, life sciences, aerospace and automotive. Rahul, who has been SelectUSA’s India representative for the past four years, will be joined by EDPNC’s Colin Kiser and Korey Howard in an update on the state of FDI into North Carolina. Join us for this timely discussion along with a buffet lunch and valuable networking time.

Make an afternoon of it, and also register for the Product Development Workshop that will be held following the luncheon from 2-4 pm. Compressed timelines are the new normal. With increasing demand for existing buildings, many communities are considering speculative development. Join EDPNC and local partners for a panel discussion that will include success stories, lessons learned, and creative approaches to spec buildings.
