The NCEDA Reading Group has selected Janesville: An American Story. Anyone who reads this book is invited to a small group discussion during the breakfast hour on Wednesday, 3/14.

If you are an Economic Development practitioner, plan to join us for the Professional Development Incentives Seminar on Wednesday, 3/14 from 1-4 pm led by EDPNC and Commerce. This will be an informal, town hall style session with plenty of time for Q&A. The cost is $50 and includes lunch. The following topics will be covered:

General overview of ED incentives in the US
Evolution of state incentives in NC – a brief history
Overview of major NC incentives programs
Approval processes for incentives proposals and grant awards
How to position/sell your/our incentives
How to help the client evaluate competitor incentives packages on an-apples-to-apples basis

Business casual attire.

LODGING INFORMATION

Our block at Pinehurst is full, and the resort has also completely sold our during our conference dates. We have booked an overflow block at the Homewood Suites Pinehurst (250 Central Park Avenue, located just 1.2 miles from the resort). Our group rate at the Homewood Suites is $129 plus tax per night. Member Registration: $425 ($325 early bird rate valid through February 27)

Non-Member Registration: $720 ($620 early bird rate valid through February 27)

Emerging Executive Member Registration: $200

Emerging Executive Non-Member Registration: $300

Spouse Registration: $125 (Tuesday evening reception)

EXTRAS

Sporting Clays: $60 (Tuesday afternoon, includes lunch - extra cost onsite for gun rental and ammo)

Golfing at The Cradle: $75 (Tuesday afternoon; Pinehurst's new 9-hole course)

Registrations submitted by Tuesday, February 27 are eligible for the early bird registration rate, a $100 savings. NCEDA member and non-member rates increase $100 if submitted after Tuesday, February 27.

NCEDA CANCELLATION POLICY
Refunds can be made (minus a $25 processing fee), if cancellations are received by Friday, March 2 at 5 pm. For cancellations please call 888.246.2332 or email liz@nceda.org. No refunds will be granted after March 2.
