2018 Legislative Day: Briefing, Visits and Reception

Description

In shaping the policies and programs that keep North Carolina’s economy strong, legislators rely on input from economic developers on the front lines. Make your voice heard at the General Assembly by participating in NCEDA Legislative Day 2018. The day begins at 10 am with a briefing in the DPI Gallery North Meeting Room of the Education Building. We’ll hear from our legislative counsel at Nelson Mullins on themes, messages and advice on navigating the legislative complex. Individual visits to lawmakers will take place from 11:30 am to 5 pm. We’ll re-convene as a group from 5:30 to 7:30 for a reception at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences. Legislators and staff will join us. This year, we’re collaborating with the state’s tourism industry leaders in a move designed to maximize turnout, energy and impact.

Time

Legislative Briefing: 10 - 11:30 am

Legislative Visits: 11:30 - 5 pm

Legislative Reception: 5:30 - 7:30 pm

NC Museum of Natural Sciences

The Legislative Reception will be held at the NC Museum of Natural Sciences. The day will begin with a Legislative Briefing in the DPI Gallery North Meeting Room at the NC Education Building (301 North Wilmington Street), followed by Legislative Visits at the General Assembly.
